Aldo x Barbie™ Series: The Bedazzled Kitten Heels

Aldo and Barbie™ just dropped a collection full of playful shoe styles perfect for the Spring/Summertime. The shoes for this collaboration were well-designed and thought-out. From the color selection to the embellished accessories this collection featured shoes, Barbie™ herself would wear.

I saw the Barbie™ kitten heels in Macy’s when the movie first came out and I fell in love. I’ve never owned a pair of kitten heels and the bright bubble-gum pink color was stunning. I saw they were $120 and knew I had to wait for these to go on sale to get the best deal.

Fast forward to November, and I saw the Aldo kitten heels in Macy’s Last Act for $47.93. This was such a steal! so I purchased them right away with no hesitation.

For this collection, you may have to size down because I usually wear a women’s 10, but for these heels, I fit a size 9. These Barbie heels ™ feature this beautiful pink satin fabric with a rounded toe box. You have a 2.25-inch heel in the back with these gorgeous rhinestone ornaments in the front. Aldo balanced making these kitten heels fashionable and functional, by incorporating iconic Barbie™ elements and using their Pillow Walk™ foam material, making these heels super comfortable to walk in.

The “Pillow Walk™” Heels

Aldo Pillow Walk™ uses high-density foams that help to speed up the break-in process and absorb impact. I can go several hours wearing these heels without any discomfort. I had the chance to wear them a few times when my best friend and I went out in Miami and they lasted all night. Plus you can dress these kitten heels up or down and get the most use out of them. You can wear these to a nice brunch or pair them with some jeans for a more casual look.

This strappy slip-on mule style draws inspiration from the Y2K aesthetic and early 2000’s fashion. The multi-layered straps with the ornaments decorated across make this feel like a unique collector’s item.

I purchased this style in the light pink and Fuschia colorway to have some variety in my wardrobe. Plus, have some matching shoes to go along with all the handbags I bought.

This year, I decided to take more risks with my fashion and get out of my comfort zone by investing in pieces I truly love. I’m so glad I got to purchase my kitten heels and much more from the Aldo x Barbie™ collection because I’ll be holding onto them for a very long time.
