Aldo x Barbie™ Series: The Pink Rhinestone Studded Bag

Aldo and Barbie™ collaborated to bring a top-tier accessories collection full of sparkly bubblegum pink bags that Barbie herself would approve of. Growing up as a 90’s baby all I did was play with Barbie dolls. So you can imagine the nostalgia I had seeing this collection. Plus, pink is one of my favorite colors and it adds this playful, feminine touch to my wardrobe.

The Barbie™ Movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, featuring Margot Robbie grossed almost 2 billion dollars globally and brought all the barbs out to theatres and stores. Several collaborations were announced during the summer and the one from Aldo has been the best by far. The little girl inside of me was filled with excitement when I saw the video of all the bags from the collection. From pink rhinestone studded bags to high-heel platform shoes, Aldo had great options to choose from.

For Christmas, my brother got me the Barbie™ Top Handle bag from DSW. He received cash back on his order using Rakuten. When it came time to open presents, I pulled my silky pink Barbie™ x Aldo dust bag from under the tree and opened the top. Slowly, I lifted the bag out to see just how beautiful it was in person. It had this holographic pink top handle with matching rhinestones encrusted in the front. I thought this was the perfect evening bag to have for dinners or parties.

The Aldo x Barbie™ top handle bag had many playful but chic design elements to it. The bag features this rhinestone-studded heart magnetic clasp in the front with interlocked hearts on the sides of the handle. Plus, you get a holographic cross-body strap that makes it more multi-functional for on-the-go use. In the back, you have this same pearlescent material with the silver Barbie x Aldo plate. Plus, this bag is big enough to fit all your essentials like a wallet, lip gloss, and keys.

I love how this bag is such a bold fashion piece and draws on many inspirations from the 90’s era. Plus, the materials and hardware of the Barbie™ bag work so well together. The iridescent shine and sparkle that reflects off the bag when light hits it is breathtaking. This is a conversation piece when it comes to fashion with many people giving me compliments or asking where I got my bag from.

I’m so happy that I added this Aldo x Barbie™ bag to my collection because it embodies more of my style and feels so unique. Not to mention this specific bag has sold out almost 3 times with Aldo restocking several times on its website. Many people were all over Aldo’s Instagram and TikTok asking for a restock of this style. Overall, this collection was well thought out and was created for all the fashionistas out there who love Barbie.
