Levi’s Trucker Jackets are some of the most iconic denim pieces Levi Strauss & Co. has produced to date. The jacket was first introduced in 1967 and has since gone on to be made into different styles using various fabrics. This past year, I decided to add some more outwear pieces to my wardrobe. So I started out by adding the one essential that should be in everyone’s closet, a classic denim jacket.

The Levi’s Fringe Moments
I started my shopping journey at the Levi’s outlet which has some of the best outerwear styles. When curating your wardrobe it’s important to include basics and some fashion statement pieces for different occasions. I purchased this first look which is a fusion of the two. It’s a nice denim gray color but has that fashion element with the fringe along the back and shoulders. I can pair this with a black t-shirt to let my jacket be the star of the show and stand out. This is one way you can use clothes to express your individualistic style.
I paired this fringe Levi’s Trucker Jacket with the matching jeans which made for a great fashion moment. I wear this style when I go out for casual dinners and parties. The jacket is made from high-quality cotton that is breathable and features stainless steel buttons with flap pockets on the chest. The hem hits just below the waistline and has slanted shoulder seams to give your arms more room to pull the jacket on and off. Whenever I wear this piece I always get compliments from people on the fringe detail and how it reminds them of a more ’70s vintage look.
The Levi’s Trucker Fit
The fit of the Levi’s Trucker Jacket has been perfected over the decades, especially for the Women’s category. This next jacket is a classic one and I like to layer it with lighter denim washes. The navy blue can be paired with many other colors and washes. I wear this piece when I go to the movies or out with friends. It’s a good basic jacket to dress up or down. You can also accessorize a core piece like this by adding fashion brooches and pins to it.
This Levi’s Ex-Boyfriend’s Trucker Jacket has some structure to it with the fabric being a bit more coarse than the other two cotton fabric jackets. The sewing detail is done well on this piece with contrasting threads that complement the jacket color and reinforced seams. This look is finished off with the iconic red tab that is sewn onto all Levi’s denim products. This tab has become instantly recognizable in pop culture over the decades and can be seen in movies and historic movements.
Denim Styles and Looks
The Levi’s store had several fringe jackets available but this one by far is my favorite. When I saw this in-stores I immediately thought of those classic 50’s Spaghetti Western films. It’s such a unique fashion piece with the two-tone fringe and elongated hem. This Levi’s denim jacket also has a dual purpose, it can be worn as a dress or a jacket. You can take this from a day-to-night outfit. You can pair the jacket with jeans for a more casual look or you can elevate it by wearing it as a dress with ankle or cowgirl boots.
The tie-dye details done on the denim fringe is beautiful, with bright white stitching running along each strand reinforcing the attachment along the shoulders and back. The hem hits right above the knee and the jacket gives room to layer pieces underneath. You also get deep pockets on this jacket which is perfect for storing your phone or lipgloss. I always turn heads with this one and have several people ask me where I purchased it from, I tell them Levi’s of course. Adding these unique jacket styles to my wardrobe gives me the versatility I need to achieve a variety of looks.
