Lancome Teint Idole is one of my holy-grail foundations and a go-to when it comes to matte formulas. This was actually the first foundation I ever bought when I started getting into doing my own makeup. Now, this is my 3rd time re-purchasing my Lancome foundation and I must say this is a staple to have in your foundation lineup.

Lancome Shade Ranges and Recent Re-Formulation
When it comes to shade ranges, Lancome truly shines in this department having a wide variety to match different skin tones. Lancome Teint Idole comes in 50 unique shades. From the fairest to some of the deepest skin tones, there’s a shade available to meet your needs. Plus, this foundation covers several key undertones like warm, neutral, and cool.
Recently, Lancome re-formulated the Teint Idole line to incorporate more skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid, moringa oil, and vitamin E. This helps to make the foundation more lightweight, breathable, and comfortable on the skin. Lancome is smart to re-formulate and follow this new standard of blending makeup with skin-loving ingredients.
Although, I loved how the older formula included SPF 15 in it and made it easy to wear for those hotter summer days. In the new and former formula, I wear shade 500 Seude W (warm) which is a deep shade with warm/golden undertones.
When I tell you the shade match is perfect, it looks like second skin. Plus, Lancome added 28 more shades to this line to give women more options to choose from. This inclusive shade range makes this a great foundation, especially for women of color who have deeper-toned skin and can find it more challenging to find their shade.

Lancome Teint Idole also received some updates to its packaging to go along with the new formulation. The foundation comes in a sleek frosted glass container with a black pump to dispense just the right amount of product. The pump is covered by a black square top with a beautiful gold embellishment of the flower used in Lancome’s branding. This elevated packaging standouts beautifully on my vanity and in my makeup organizer.
Performance and Wearability
The Lancome Teint Idole Foundation gives you a full-coverage matte finish look for 24 hours. When it comes to applying this foundation I like to use a beauty blender or my Sephora brush. I use three pumps of foundation and press it into my skin. This helps to cover my hyperpigmentation and dark spots on my face.
The formula is fragrance-free and feels lightweight when applied to the face. Lancome also made this new iteration of Teint Idole its thinnest formula by using its patented Airwear Technology. This helps to resist water, oil, and humidity and allows the skin to breathe. Plus, Teint Idole is waterproof, transfer and sweat resistant. Which means you can feel comfortable wearing this foundation on hotter summer days or being poolside.
This foundation also layers well with powders and blushes. Giving you a beautiful matte makeup look.
After testing this foundation out for 8 hours, I can say it holds up very well and keeps my face matte throughout. I only had to blot once in my t-zone to get rid of oils and this was being 4 hours into wearing Teint Idole. Overall, Lancome Teint Idole is a classic foundation buy and truly a staple in my beauty collection.
