Aldo x Barbie™ Series: The Barbie™ Charm Bag

If you had to get one thing from the Aldo x Barbie™ collection then it should have been this Barbie™ charm bag. This was the first handbag that sold out immediately once it dropped online and in-store. I see why this bag has sold out almost three times. It’s truly one of a kind and incorporates so many iconic Barbie™ elements.

The “IT” Bag From The Collection

The Barbie™ Qcross bag was one of the first items I bought from the collection. This was my way of treating myself to a nice birthday present. I got this beautiful bag from DSW for about $39 using my DSW rewards and coupons. Plus, I got $5.98 cash back on my online order using Rakuten, bringing my total price to $33. I bought my Barbie™ bag during Black Friday which was the perfect time since DSW was double discounting products. Purchasing my bag at that price was well worth it because many re-sellers were price gouging on eBay and Mercari.

Why This Bag Sold So Fast: The Design Elements

My Aldo x Barbie™ charm bag is truly one that I adore and cherish in my collection. This bag feels and looks luxurious with all the unique design elements embellished on it. The bubble gum pink color with the gold-plated rhinestone encrusted charms displays Barbie’s playful side. This came in a flap bag style with puffed quilted stitching all over. You get a woven chain strap with the leather and hardware intertwined. Then on the back, you have the Aldo x Barbie™ plate.

The bag has two interior compartments for storage and I’ve been able to fit just about anything inside. I also love the turn-lock closure on the front with the rhinestones and pearl beads decorated across. I knew I had to have this bag because it was such a bold, playful, fashion piece. When I wear this out I always get several compliments on the color and charms. I treat my bag like a collector’s item and wear it for nice occasions when I get dressed up.

Overall, the Aldo x Barbie™ Charm Bag was a top-seller from the collection, and for good reason. The Barbiecore aesthetic is infused so well in this bag.

Welcome to part three of my Aldo x Barbie™ series where I dive deeper into all the items I bought from the collection. You can go back to parts one and two to read my reviews on the “Barbie: Studded Bag” and the “Barbie: Rhinestone Bag“.
