2015, I was given the opportunity to attend the “School of Fashion” at Kent State University and earn my B.S. in Fashion Merchandising in 2019. During my time in college, I was able to study abroad in Florence, Italy for a semester and it changed my life for the better forever. I learned how to immerse myself in a new culture and also traveled to other European cities like Paris, Dublin, and London where I expanded my horizons. Now I want to share with you my experiences abroad, what to see at different cities, and how to make travel affordable.
I spent much of time in college learning about the business sides of fashion, and taking tech classes where I learned to harness the power of software programs from Adobe Suite. I created several projects analyzing a fashion brands products and creating 6 month buying plans. My senior year of college, I was interned at the Michael Kors headquarters in New York in the Visual Merchandising Department. As an intern I created directives, styled product for photoshoots for future seasons, and assisted in floor set changes. This along with the years of luxury retail experience allowed me to gain a wealth of fashion knowledge that I want to share with you.
Not only was I traveling, and learning but I was also able to apply and win tons of scholarships to help with the cost of school and study abroad programs. I started from applying to local scholarships in my home city to winning national scholarship competitions. I dedicated time to writing great essays, and learned to the code to wining a lucrative scholarship. I’m ready to share with you all the tips, tricks, and advice to getting that scholarship that you’ve eyeing.
